The Universal HingeTMbrand Bolt-on Hinge is a product that facilitates opening and closing various manway covers on pressure vessels and storage tanks, chiller condensers or chiller cooler channel covers and bonnets, as well as heat exchanger channel covers and bonnets, or any other cover providing access to equipment for maintenance or inspection.
The Standard Hinge Product line is divided into three series:
Series 350, Series 700, and Series 1400.
The Standard Hinge Product line is well suited to standard American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) flanges and covers mating to standard ANSI or AWWA flanges. Applications beyond the range of the chart are considered Series Special.
The Series Special Product line consists of Universal HingeTMbrand bolt on hinges that are suitable for heat exchanger channel covers, heat exchanger bonnets, chiller condenser channel covers and bonnets and any cover that is beyond the range of the Standard Hinge Product line.
After review of the application data, the Universal Hinge Corp. will determine if the required hinge falls within the Standard – Series or Special – Series.
